After a not very fun pregnancy filled with lots of sickness I finally hit my due date of Dec. 27th, 2005. My Dr. (Dr. Cooperman) went out of town for that whole week, which I was really upset about, but what could I do. Normally he said he would have had me come into the office for a visit on my due date, but because he was gone he sent me to the hospital to have a NST and an ultrasound to check the fluids around the baby. (They were supposed to be between 12-14). Each test they did came back with bad results and it was official I had pre-eclampsia. My fluid levels were a huge concern because they were only 4.5, and my blood pressure was 165/110 as opposed to the 90/60 which was normal for me. They determined there was no benefit to waiting and there was too much that could go wrong so they decided to induce me. Klint had decided to go into work that day and not go to the hospital with me so I had asked my mom to go with me because I had a feeling something wasn't right and I didn't want to be alone and freak out if something was wrong. My apt. had been at 8 am and by 10 am they determined that I "wasn't leaving without a baby", so I called Klint and told him what was going on. Klint left work at lunch and went and packed some stuff and got to the hospital. About 3pm they finally put me in my labor & delivery room and started the petosin (to start contractions) and magnesium (to keep me from having seizures because my bp was so high). The mag. was awful. It made me feel terrible. I still wasn't really feeling the contractions yet and at about 6pm the on-call dr, (who I hated) Dr. Busch, came in and broke my water. Klint then went to the cafeteria to get some dinner and just as he left the hard contractions started. After him being gone about 30 min. I finally called and told him he needed to come back. Then (for some crazy reason) I went until about 8pm before I asked for my epidural, which was nothing at that point. Then I could finally calm down. Some family came to visit and we watched a Law & Order marathon. Pretty soon I started having trouble breathing (they never did figure out why) so the put me on oxygen and I was officially REALLY uncomfortable. Then I started throwing up which surprised the poor nurse to death. She wasn't prepared for it, but we wouldn't have expected anything else. Finally about 1am it was time to start pushing. My nurse Stacy was FABULOUS! I couldn't have done it without her. Right as I started pushing my epidural started to wear off so they asked to having it "topped off". They might as well have given me a baby aspirin because whatever they did didn't work at all. I pushed and pushed and pushed FOREVER. After a while I was so exhausted my mom and Klint had to hold me up because I couldn't even do that. After HOURS of pushing he was finally born on Dec. 28th at 4:17am. He weighed 7lbs and was 20 1/2 inches long. It was so unreal. I just kept holding him saying "Hi, I'm your Mom". It was crazy. He was totally calm and quiet and we just stared at each other for minutes. It was pretty neat. He was so cute and he look EXACTLY like Klint. It was amazing. We had tons of family come to see him in the hospital. Everyone was great. We were so happy to have this great new addition to make us a real family.

Grammy & Papa holding Jameson for the first time. What troopers to stick it out through the whole labor.
