Yesterday was one of "those days". I had a list of a hundred things I (very optimistically) was going to get done. I'm really anxious to get my downstairs finished so I had lots of little detail things to paint, plus laundry, cleaning, making jam, dishes, taking the kids to the park, etc. As is typical I only got a few things done, and even a shower wasn't on that list. I was a little frustrated with how little I got accomplished until just before the boys went to bed. I gave them a bath & got them ready for bed & then sent them downstairs to say goodnight to Daddy. When I came downstairs after picking up dirty clothes & cleaning up from their bath I found an impromptu dance party happening. It was so cute to watch them dance their little hearts out & have fun. At that point I realized that, although I didn't feel I'd had a productive day, my kids were happy, they knew how to have fun together & enjoy life & there wasn't a whole lot more I could ask for. "Men are that they might have joy" Just a reminder to not let the business of everyday life take the joy out of everyday life. Here's the "dance party" video. Enjoy!
Sorry it's so dark
PS. I made a small change to my craft project. Something was missing, but it wasn't until my most recent trip to Hobby Lobby that I knew what it was. (Love that place!) I think it makes such a huge difference I had to show everyone. Now it is officially done. The only thing I still have left to do is find a decent window cleaner that isn't so streaky. Anyone have one they love?
