Day 2 - Sea Day

Day 2 started out at the buffet for breakfast and then we were on to the "Flowrider". Klint did really well. It wasn't long before he was doing his first trick.
I was able to do it, but every time I got the nerve to try a trick it ended up something like this....
Yes, that is a serious faceplant, and no, that was not the only one. I got VERY good at them.
After I had done enough faceplants, and everyone had seen enough of them, we decided to head to the Johnny Rockets on the ship for lunch. They play a song that the staff has a dance to so, or course Emily, Heidi and I had to join the dancing. We're just fun that way.
Later that afternoon while they guys hit the Flowrider again to try their hand at stand-up riding. Since I'd had enough faceplanting for one day I headed over to the rock wall for a little climb. Let me tell you it's not easy to rock climb, especially when the ship was doing plenty of rocking of it's own, but I made it to the top. The pics aren't all that attractive, but I had to prove I did it. I was the only one that did. That evening we got ready and went to the show. The ship was doing some serious rocking, and unfortunately Emily didn't handle it so well. Poor thing was hanging on to anything she could find that "wasn't moving". Luckily we had brought some leftover Zofran from my last pregnancy and she soon was as in love with it as I am.
Then it was off to get ready for our first formal dinner.
Klint got adventurous right off the bat and tried the escargot. He actually liked it and ate it all despite how grossed out I was by the idea of it.
We girls thought that our Flowrider bands looked lovely with our outfits
Overall we could turn into a fairly presentable bunch, if only we could have kept our laughing to a minimum.
When we got back to our room we found our first little friend left by our wonderful stateroom attendant.

I love sharing your trip with you. I could comment on every picture. I do especially love the one in the vortex and the face plant (by you were so graceful, even pointed toes), and the one with Em hanging on for dear life, and the one with snails, and the one in the life jackets and........you even do clean up well. I can tell from the pictures that you were having a great time! Wish we were there!! Someday!!!

You're the only one I've ever known who points her toes while doing a graceful face plant.
