My attempt at crafting

As most of you know I'm seriously NOT a crafter, but I have lots of family members that come up with the cutest ideas. My sister in law Linsey started a crafty blog with her sisters (Check it out here http://payperiodprojects.blogspot.com/) & it gave me some inspiration. Now I love looking at crafty blogs. I think it's amazing what people can do.
One day I was driving by a yard sale when this old bathroom cabinet jumped out at me. I had to stop. After close examination I could see it had some serious potential, so I bought it for $5. I didn't get a good picture of it before I started my project but here's an idea of the color it was before I started. And here is the final product. I'm so amazed with how well it turned out. I am totally in love with it. It was SO easy. I bought a cheap can of spray paint & painted it red. (I didn't bother sanding it because I liked the blemishes in it. I think it gives it character, plus I'm just that lazy ;) Then I made a stencil & stenciled the W on the glass. I can't believe how well it turned out, & it ended up costing me less than $10 to purchase & redo. I LOVE IT! Just had to share for all my crafty friends & family so they could see that, although I will NEVER start scrapbooking, I'm a little less of a craft-mornon than we all thought. I just had to get a new house to be inspired.

Yay! Welcome to the crafting world... it's a great ride!

You did a wonderful job. Doesn't it feel good to take something and make it better? (But then again, you do that for people and their hair all the time!)

So cute! Love it! I have done a few things from Linsey's blog too! I found it from yours. She probably has no idea she inspires people she doesn't even know!
