Sunday Feb. 1st, 2009

Sunday was a big day for our family. Yes, it was the Super Bowl in which the Cardinals miraculously played (I'll post about that later), but more importantly it was Jameson's first time to participate in Primary Opening Exercises. He was asked to give the scripture in front of the whole primary. We prepped him all week on speaking loudly and clearly (as clearly as he ever gets) and he was ready for Sun. He did the scripture 2 Nephi 2:25 "Adam fell that men might be, and men are that they might have joy." It's my favorite scripture and it was short and very appropriate because the primary lesson was on Adam & Eve that day. Daddy, Alex and I were all there. He sat up front on the special "Scripture" chair and with only a few reminders he was pretty reverent. When it was time he climbed right up to the microphone. He grabbed onto the microphone and said "I have a scripture". Then I told him the words and he repeated them after me. I'm not sure any one else in the room could understand him, but I thought he did a great job. We're so proud of you Jameson boy! We love you and we know it makes your Heavenly Father and Jesus happy when you help in Primary.

What a big boy! I can't wait for Jada to have an assignment in Primary. She was the star child last week.
