Fall Break Fun - Outing 1 - The Zoo

We were all so excited to have Jameson home with us for a whole week for Fall Break. Jameson wanted to pick everything we did (didn't actually happen, but I let him think he picked this one). We decided to spend Mon at the zoo with cousins Isaac, Trevor, Eva, and Everett. They had such a great time. It's so fun that my boys have so many cousins who are so close. They love each other & have such a great time together. Here are the pics from that outing starting with a pic of all the kiddos. Jameson was very happy to be the oldest of the cousins and the one trusted to hold Baby Everett for the pic.
Jameson wanted to go see the zebras first thing. At school they have a (stuffed) class pet named Zeke the Zebra. He was very excited to see Zeke at the zoo. He asked me to take a pic of him with Zeke to send to his teacher Mrs. Roberts.
Here are the 4 boys w/the zebras. (Trevor, Isaac, Jameson & Alex) These 4 are the best of friends. They were very happy to get to spend time all together while Jameson was out of school.
Here are the 4 boys with the flamingos showing us how flamingos stand.
Even though Eva was the only girl in the crew she hung in there with the boys, and they were very happy to have her there. Here are she & Alex discussing the orangutans.
My boys watched a little documentary about the animals that are the characters in the movie The Lion King. Since then, and especially since Grammy & Papa live in Africa, Jameson gets very excited about warthogs, lions, and especially meerkats. Here are the boys riding a warthog statue.
Jameson especially loves Meerkats or "near-cats" as he calls them. He thinks they're cute & funny. He was very excited to see this little statue of one so he had to have a pic with it.
Who wouldn't want to see how many cousins could fit in one giant clam? Turns out the number is 4.
It was such a fun trip. Thanks Stacy & Jenna for coming with us. It wouldn't have been near as much fun without you for all of us.

That is amazing that you have a fall break and that it is so early. It seems as though we just started. Looks like a lot of fun.
