My family will get it, but for the rest of you I'll give an explanation, but it might not be that funny if you don't know them. When we went to France & Switzerland almost 2 years ago (can't believe it's been that long) we all shared rooms and since we switched hotels almost every night we switched who we roomed with every night. That made it really fun. Typically the hotels were really different from those we'd been in before, so once we got all our stuff into our own room we would go see what everyone else's room was like. Here's one of the big differences. In the US if you say there will be 3 people, they give you 2 (typically queen) beds. In Europe if you said 3 there would sometimes be 2 beds, sometimes a queen bed and a couch/sleeper, sometimes a cot, we just never quite knew what the set up would be. On this particular occasion, at Son Loup in Switzerland, Grandpa was sharing a room with Ryan & Linsey. They called everyone in to see the set up. It was kind of like a suite with a double bed in one part and this tiny, frilly, purple bed in the other part for Grandpa. Grandpa climbed right in to check it out as we all laughed at his bed. Then Ryan jumped into the tiny bed with Grandpa and pulled the pretty purple netting around them. As if it wasn't funny enough to see them both squeezed into that little frilly bed Grandpa then yelled "Hey, it's not my day for boys!" (a basic "Grandpa-ism") We were all dying laughing. Leave it to Ryan & Grandpa to have us all in stitches over something so silly.
