On Memorial Day my family got together with those that were in town to celebrate. We'll take any excuse to hang together cause we don't like each other at all. ;) We celebrated in a different way for us. We had a fiesta. I know a little strange, but food was good & Grammy & Papa surprised us all with a pinata. It was fun for all. Here are the pics starting with Papa who held it up.
The kids lined up youngest to oldest to take a turn.
Here's Alex swinging away. It was quite a strong pinata.
Jameson's turn.
We adults had a good time watching. (Emily is wearing the first piece that came off the pinata. Isn't she lovely with her Miss America wave)
Gathering the goods.
Even after it was broken & empty the pinata still kept us entertained. Emily, Chandler, & Eric
Chandler & Jameson. Tough guys.
My cute boys actually brought the "hats" home and wore them around the house for days.
Who says just the kids have fun.
After our fiesta was over we headed over to the Mesa Cemetery to put new flowers on my grandparents grave.
We love and miss them so much.
We have been so blessed to have such wonderful, loving grandparents. They truly are amazing people. I'm grateful I was able to have them be such a big part of my every day life.
