Legoland - Part One

Warning: Picture Overload! On Monday morning we got up and headed to Legoland. We were there from open to close & it was such a great day. Here are pics.

Jameson & Alex were so excited & ready to see Lego Star Wars. We started out with rides right away. The first one we came across was a safari ride. Being with Grammy & Papa who came from safari land & have been on an actual safari we had to ride it. The boys each rode with Grammy & Papa, but that left Daddy & I to ride in a tiny car by ourselves so we could take pics. Next we found a "real roller coaster". Papa & Daddy were very excited, while Jameson & Alex took some serious convincing/bribing to ride it, but they did. Here they are right before we all got on.Jameson & Alex LOVED the roller coaster! When I asked Jameson if it was fun his response was "It was the AWESOMEST THING EVER!!!" That's all it took and Jameson was a roller coaster maniac. Pretty soon he was riding every ride he was tall enough for with Papa & Daddy. It was so fun to see him be brave & have so much fun experiencing these firsts.

There were so many different things to do.
This one you jumped on the spots & the instruments would play music & spit water. Not sure if Daddy or Jameson enjoyed this one more. Look closely & you can see Jameson is mid-jump.
We did have to wait in some lines, but there were not bad at all. Besides it was fun because we were with Grammy & Papa.Sometimes we got a little tired, but the kids were so good & we didn't have any meltdowns.

The weather was perfect. It was overcast & cool. The boys wanted to do whatever Papa was doing with his jacket.

For this ride Jameson & Daddy had to pull themselves up on the rope & then let go at the top & they would drop down.

This was one of our favorite rides. It took 4 people in each car & was a race. 2 people had to push the lever to propel the car & there were 2 steering wheels (that steered straight). When you got to the end you had to jump out & spray water on the target to "catch the bad guy" then jump back in the car & get back to the finish line.
We almost won except when we jumped out to "get the bad guy" the boys ran in opposite, wrong directions & we had to round them back up, but even with that we barely got 2nd & it was fun.
Grammy & Papa with the Eiffel Tower & Mt. Rushmore in the background
Watching some one build the masterpieces.
The Lego Walk of Fame. Papa with Winston Churchill
Daddy w/Elvis
Daddy w/Marilyn Monroe
Riding horses (closest thing to real ones)
The best part was that we were all together for this first family trip to an amusement parkBoys w/Bionicle
