The next day in California we decided to do much more low key. We headed over to Balboa Island. It was a gorgeous day and Balboa Island was so quaint and full of character it was the perfect choice. We took the ferry over to the island which the boys were so excited about.
They didn't realize what the ferry was until we were about half way across. They kept yelling "Our car is on a boat!"

The first two things we saw were this, which we all knew Daddy would have to try out,

The rest of us weren't crazy....I mean preferred to watch.
It sure was fun with Grammy & Papa.
Alex had no interest in the ferris wheel, but as soon as he saw this carousel he was dying to ride it, so the boys & Papa took a ride.
I love seeing the boys with these happy looks on their faces.

We found out that everything was half price on Tuesdays so we decided to take advantage of it & took a little boat ride too. Here are my boys on the boat.

It was beautiful place and seemed like such a quiet, slow-paced life we decided if we were ever millionaires who didn't have to work this would be the perfect place to live.
After the boat ride we had some really yummy pizza & then sampled the snacks they had in the little shops. Here's Jameson & Alex enjoying some cotton candy.
After that the boys took a few minutes to chase a pigeon around which was pretty entertaining.
