Our Week

Nothing too big happened this week, but I got a few good pictures so I thought I'd post them. Jameson has had a REALLY bad week with his asthma so we had to get him on some steroids. Between the breathing treatments and the steroids Jameson has been totally CRAZY. Steroids bring on this emotional roller coaster that no one can handle. He's not sleeping & bouncing off the walls & bursting into tear filled, screaming fits for nothing. It's a killer for everyone. Needless to say I didn't get any pics of him this week cause he won't sit still long enough to take one. On the other hand Alex was is usual amusing self. He's recently discovered last year's blog book and wants us to "read a story" to him all the time. The other day he came to ask me to read him a story and I just had to laugh at his outfit for reading. He had on the Aquabats helmet, Mr. Potato Head glasses, and carrying the blog book.

As for the rest of the week, I spent lots of time painting the house. I decided if I was ever going to get it done I'd better get going on it again. Here were this week's projects.
Here's my laundry room. I know, who paints their living room, but I had some leftover paint & found a cute curtain for $2 on the Target clearance rack that would look great so I did it. I figure there's nothing wrong with having a cute laundry room too. I like it. I'll probably post another pic when it's completely done (with the curtain & clothing rack I have for it).
The other area I've been working on this week is one I've spent some time on before. It's still not completely done, but it's been a lot of work already so I thought I'd post it. These hallways have taken forever. I just have to finish a few spots of trimming the top so it's mostly done.
This is what I spent most of the week doing. I love our playroom, but it was HUGE to paint. I haven't finished the top trimming here yet either, but other than that it's done. I LOVE how this turned out. I think it's general purpose enough, but still fun. Jameson LOVED it. He was downstairs when I started putting the dots on, & was SO EXCITED when he saw them. He ran up to me giving me a big hug and said "Mom! Thank you for doing this for me! It's my favorite thing! I love it!" He's such a sweet boy. They love being able to write on the chalkboard dots (the black ones). Jameson asked me to take some pics with his "new surprise".
Here he is looking at his dots, and below is him posing playing in his "favorite" play room.
Sat night we had a few friends over for a BBQ. It was really fun. The boys spent lots of time outside grilling the various types of meat everyone brought while the girls and the kiddos chatted in the house. Jameson also spent lots of time taking people up to show them the "surprise" which was the circles on the wall in the playroom. It was a great time.
Here's Brett & Jared cooking stuff up in the kitchen. Brett was thrilled to wear my frilly "Mom" apron. (I don't actually use it for cooking, I use it for cutting hair)
Rob & Brett getting ready to season up the various meats. Thanks all for coming!

I am so proud of the wonderful painting and creativity that you have put into your house. I can't wait to see it in person. I love the 'surprises' too.
