Jameson has hit a VERY challenging phase. He's full of sass, drama, back talking, and FAR TOO MUCH crying. I'm pretty much at my whits end with him. I'm at a loss & don't know what to do to get through to him about 75% of the day lately & he's usually asleep the other 25% of the day. He just volunteered to say the prayer for lunch today, which is big because even family prayers have been a fight with him lately. I just had to share it.
This is what he prayed for:
Bless the food
Bless we can do all the things we can do (we don't know where that came from, but he says it in every prayer)
Bless Grammy & Papa on their mission
Then there was a long pause of serious concentration & then he finished up with
Bless that I won't punch Alex......in the face. Amen
I just about died trying to stifle the laughter that was wanting to burst out. I swear I don't let me children go around punching each other, & I'm pretty sure no one in our family has ever punched anyone else in the family in the face. I have no idea where that came from, but it sure was cute. I'm so glad to have these little moments where they totally redeem themselves.

BAAAHAHAHAHAHA! That was hilarious and totally just made my day! Completely classic! Oh my, I missss you and your boys!
That is so funny! Little prayers are the best! I'm glad I'm not the only one having drama with my 4 year old.
LOL!!! I love it when kids say things like that, they are so funny!
I'm so glad to see that Jameson has become a "real boy". He's always been so good, I wondered when this would hit. He's testing his boundaries. It's normal.
Don't get mad, until he does something. Talk to him, make sure he knows that you are always going to love him, it makes them feel more secure when he knows mom is on his side.
I feel your pain! I cannot handle the sass and attitude!! I'm going crazy!! That is hilarious though!
That is the sweetest little story!! I love little kid prayers they are always the most sincere! I think we should all pray for things like that....it might make the day go much smoother!
That is hilarious! You just made my night. :)
Priceless. I am however glad to hear that your boys do drive you crazy. It seems like they never do and I was the horrible horrible mom because my kids drive me crazy a lot. I am so glad to hear I am not the only one. I absolutely love hearing Matthew say the nighttime prayer just to see what he will come up with. That was so cute, and not just that I won't hit him, but in the face:) TOO FUNNY!
Isn't it nice to stop in the middle of the craziness of parenthood and have these great moments. Without the gospel these delightful times wouldn't break the stress of being a parent. It's so good that you are recording them. Just hang in there. Feisty Fours move on to Fabulous fives! This too shall pass!
haha! oh boys! so much fun. they are too cute.
