Dear Jameson

Feel free not to read this one. I saw this on some one else's blog and I love the idea. Since I use this as our family journal I'm going to write a letter to each of my kids. I do it so both they & I can remember exactly what they were like at this age. It's those little things I don't want to forget.
I'll start with a few pictures of things Jameson has found/learned and thinks is REALLY cool.
My Dear Jameson Boy,
You are such a sweet and unique little boy. You have the most amazing imagination I've ever seen in a child. You love to play all kinds of things. You love Transformers, & Bakugan (even though you've never actually seen the show, you think the toys are amazing) & guns just to name a few of your latest obsessions. You often ask me to play pretend Transformers with you. I just don't have the imagination to keep up. You like to talk to people a lot, even if they aren't there. You've recently decided that you want to call everyone to tell them things. You ask me to call Dylan, Michael, Chandler, Ethan, and/or Tyler almost every day, and even though most of them are much older than you, they are wonderful cousins to you and they sit and listen to your little conversations even when they can't understand what you're talking about. You also love to wear your Superman/Batman cape that Grammy Jameson made you for Christmas & do all kinds of saving people as you run around the house in it. You are also starting to really have fun playing with your brother sometimes. You teach him lots of fun things (like how to balance a spoon on your nose) and you make him laugh so hard. You are such a good big brother.
You're getting ready to start preschool in Aunt Stacy's preschool. I'm so excited for you to learn so many new things and make new friends. You are so excited for preschool that you've been asking me every time you go to bed for nap/night if you can go to preschool when you wake up. You've also had your backpack filled with your "friends" (stuffed animals) waiting for weeks to go to preschool I'm glad to see you so excited about it. I just can't believe you're so grown up.
You love to be outside. Even though it's 116 degrees almost every day you still want to go outside and play or blow bubbles. You just started asking me, every day, "what are we gonna do today?" You love to go places and be with people, which is a trait that I'm so happy to see you have. (You're just a little bit like your Mama)
For the most part you are speaking very well now and most people can understand you. You do have a few cute things that you say that I want to remember. Every morning you get up and ask for "a breckies" (a nutrigrain breakfast bar), and instead of saying scriptures you say "scritchbers" (it's a favorite of both me & your primary teachers the Ashbys), and you call fruit leather "stickies" because they make your fingers when you eat them. You've just discovered that you love, noodles, raisins, & dried blueberries. You still love to eat cheese multiple times a day as well as peanut butter sandwiches. You're favorite thing ever (next to any kind of sweets) is grilled cheese sandwiches.
You have so much personality and energy. It's just bursting from your tiny body. You've decided you want to play "soccer ball" so badly. I haven't found a place for you to play so young yet, but I'm working on it.
You're so creative. You've developed your own kind of style already. You are so much like me. When I was a kid I would discover things that I thought were so cool and wear/carry them around everywhere for weeks. You have recently started doing this. You learned to balance a spoon on your nose and I've woken up more than one day lately to you standing by me with a spoon on your nose saying "look Mama". You're so proud of yourself. You also like to put the Mr. Potato head pieces sticking out of your mouth, ears, anything. You think it's so funny. I just love it. At the dollar store the other day you found a foam parrot hat & you were instantly in desperate need of it. You've worn if for days and multiple time you haven't been able to figure out why you can't ware it everywhere, like to church. :)
I love you so much Jameson boy. You are such a wonderful, fun & special child. I'm so glad I get to be your Mom.
Love,
Mama
