Today my sweet Jameson boy started preschool. I can't believe that he's old enough to be going, but I know it's time. Luckily we were able to work it out that he could go to (my sister) Aunt Stacy's preschool. She's a wonderful teacher with more patience for children than any person I've ever seen, so I thought she could handle him. We've been telling Jameson that he was going to be attending preschool, but I don't think he really knew what to expect. Klint and I, on the other hand, have been so excited for this. We know he is going to love it so much and learn so many new and wonderful things.
This morning when he got up I asked him if he knew what was going to happen today and he replied "preschool?" I told him that was right and then asked him (like every day) what he wanted to wear today. Smart kid that he is, he said "Mom, I need a new Transformer shirt for preschool." It was so sweet and undemanding that I thought, surely every kid needs something new to wear the first day of school, even a preschooler. I had seen some $5 transformer shirts at Walmart the last time I was there, so I told him he did need a new shirt for his first day of school and we hurried to get ready early and went and picked one out for him to wear. He was so excited. He loved that there were lots of new friends to meet when we got there. (a detail I forgot to mention when I told him what preschool would be like) I think he had a great first day and it's going to be a great experience for him.

I can't believe all of our kids are starting preschool now...where did the time go?
What big step for him AND you, and what a handsome young man he is! Just look at those eyes...wow...
Exciting! He's growing up so fast! I remember when he couldn't even talk and just babbled loudly in sacrament meeting. It was my favorite!
Corinne... I have to tell you that I always read your blog and can't get enough of your cute boys. Jameson has to be the funniest kid I have ever met.
What a cutie! I definitely agree with Jameson... every kid needs a transformer shirt for preschool! :) He's lucky to have a cool mom like you!
Keep us posted on how it goes...
I'm so happy that if I can't be Jameson's teacher, somebody who loves him can be. He will be a wonderful student. He's so bright and orignal and eager. It's a hard, but wonderful day when kids go off to school. Glad you shared it!
