The Setting Apart Party

I'm still backtracking a little to play catch up so here's the last one.
My parents were set apart for their mission last Fri night. The whole fam got together for this special occasion (we missed you Ryan Jameson fam). Here are the pics from that night's get together. The whole gang (except the Utah Jamesons)
Good family friend and Stake Pres. Lee Clegg set my parents apart. It was so wonderful to be able to see all of the priesthood holders stand in that circle.
Then the grand kids sang "I Hope They Call Me on a Mission". We've been working with Jameson to learn it every FHE for at least a month. I was so happy to see him actually singing. Here's the video.
Then the kiddos each gave Grammy & Papa a paper with a "Grammy Candy" (Smartee) attached to it. The paper said, "I love Grammy & Papa because..." then each child filled in the rest. Jameson's was quite random, but it wouldn't be him to have it any other way.
Jameson giving Grammy & Papa his paper.
Grammy & Papa attempting to read them through the tears. They eventually had to save them for later.
My sister Stacy also made a small book for my parents to take with them with a family pic of each family and each family wrote a note in it. That way they could have a family pic of each family and still have room to pack everything else they had to take with them.
My family with the newly set apart missionaries. We are so proud to have them serving the Lord in this way. Although we miss them SO MUCH, we wouldn't want them to be anywhere else in the world right now. We love you Grammy & Papa!

The thing that's sad is that I kept thinking "are they allowed to hug after they're set apart????" Yeah...not the same as with boys. I'm so excited for your parents!!!!

Your parents are awesome! What an adventure! I would love to know what Jameson wrote on his paper. His randomness makes me smile!
