Family Fun

It's gotten a little cooler here lately. We've had a few days that were only 99. (I guess it's all a matter of perspective.) The mornings especially have been nice. We decided since Klint is home we'd try to do a couple of fun things together before he starts work. We woke up to a pretty nice morning so we decided to get a breakfast picnic (dunkin donuts) and go to Hole in the Rock at Papago Park in Phoenix. When I was a kid we did this a few times and I LOVED it. I still do. It's a really easy "hike"/climb up some stairs so it's fun for the whole family. We let the boys do it themselves. Jameson thought he was the best hiker and was so excited to go "hiking" we couldn't even get him to eat his donuts until after we'd hiked. We were only there about an hour, but it was fun and I hope that my kids have these fun, simple memories like I do. Here are the pics.
Jameson - Our little hiker. He wanted to run ahead up the trail and go exploring all kinds of things off the path. Remind you of some one Mom & Dad? He's just a little like his Mama :)We finally made it to "the hole"! The boys were so excited. Alex was just too cute sitting there loving it.
Because we were so close to the zoo and could see it from the hole the boys wanted to go so we decided to go and see the zoo quickly by way of the Zoo train. We've never gone before and I the boys thought it was fun. They were a little nervous when it first started moving so to my surprise they grabbed each other's hand. It was so cute. You can kinda see it in the picture.
As we were getting off the train & I was trying to gather our things Jameson started walking away. I ran to catch up to him and saw he was talking to the woman who had driven our train. I walked up just in time to hear him say "Thank you for taking us on a train ride." My heart melted. He's such a sweet little boy. I was so proud of him for thinking to say thank you all on his own. Love that kid!

What a sweet boy! I love when they do things like that that make you so proud to be their mom. :)
Thanks for all you have done for me and my family!
