Trim the Tree Party

Every year my parents have "Grammy & Papa's Trim the Tree Party" It's always the first part of Dec and this year it even made it's way into Nov. (Nov 30th was the only day we could get everyone there, and we were still missing a few). It's always fun. My parents have 2 Christmas trees so the kids get to do lots of decorating while the adults make fun of each other's homemade ornaments from 3rd grade. Each grandchild has a special ornament that has their name on it for the year they were born. Of coarse we always have lots of traditional treats and wassail. Miraculously, at the end of the party each year we always have a "special visitor"... yup, you guessed it, Santa stops by so the kids get to sit on his lap and tell them what they want for Christmas. We actually got all the kids in attendance to sit on Santa's lap this year for the first time, (I think the treats he handed out as a reward helped). Anyway, it's always fun and I got a couple of really good pictures of my boys with Santa this year, so I had to post them. Enjoy!
