Fall Break - California - Day 1

*Beware picture overload* 

We decided to take a big vacation to California for fall break this year. We decided if we were gonna do the beach we would try renting a condo on the beach and it was the perfect choice for us. 

 Here's "our" beach. We loved it!

 As soon as we woke up we were dying to go exploring so we headed out on a morning walk down the beach.

 The boys collected shells & explored while we walked

 They enjoyed watching the surfers both from the beach & from the pier.

 As we walked the pier there was a pelican hanging out, we assume, to get any leftovers from those fishing along the pier. The boys were both excited & terrified to see the pelican.

 There were a couple of little parks the boys had fun playing at just off the beach.

 After our walk it was warm enough to head down to the beach for some real beach adventures.

 Jameson & Alex had a great time splashing around in the waves.

Alex LOVED playing in the sand.

 He loved building sand castles with anyone

 He loved being buried in the sand and "turned into something"

 He also like burying Jameson

  They loved chasing the birds on the beach and anywhere else they could find them. I could watch them chase birds all day. I don't know why its so entertaining.

 Klint LOVED boggie boarding. He was out there literally rain or shine and did great.

  We brought  this little tent & this is where Ryan & I hung out most of the time. Our condo is just to the right (it was literally on the beach.)

 Ryan did lots of napping on the beach

He also sat up for the first time on the beach. He doesn't stay up for long, but he sure is liking being able to sit up and play with toys for a minute or two.

The tent was enjoyed by everyone at some point when they needed a break.
