We waited until Daddy got home from work to give Alex his other present...A bike of his very own. We blindfolded him & brought the bike in. Daddy took off the blindfold & I took the picture of his reaction.
He could hardly believe it was his "very own bike". He loved it & felt like such a big boy.
After he played with his bike a little, (it got dark in about 10 mins) we took him to Famous Dave's for a birthday dinner where we ate & Daddy told "The day Alex was born" story. The boys thought it was a very funny story, especially the part where Daddy said Alex was blue. (It's not a funny story, but picturing Alex looking like a Smurf was very funny to them.) Alex was very excited when we finished our food & they brought out a "treat with a sparkling thing on it" (aka ice cream w/a sparkler.) It was a great way to end a great day of birthday for Alex.
I can hardly believe my little Alex is 4 years old. He's turning into such a big boy. I cannot even seem to remember life without him & I'm sure glad he's part of our family. Love you little boy, ninja obsession and all.

The look on Alex's face when he saw that bike is pure joy! What a great birthday. He's a lucky little boy!
