Jan 20th was Alex's 4th birthday. He's been telling people for months that it was almost his "birthday on January 20". He was so excited when the day finally came. It was a busy work/school day so we started things off as soon as we got up. We started with a couple of presents. Here he is opening his first present...."ninja stuff". He loved it.
Then he opened some cards that had "cash" from Grammy & Papa & Grandma & Grandpa Webb. He was thrilled to have "cash" to buy "whatever he wanted". (More on that later)
Here's our little 4 year old Ninja.
After presents we had "snowy donuts" complete with a sparkler. (sorry about the weird pic, but it was the only one I got)
While eating our "snowy donuts" Alex finally got to see his requested "ninja birthday cake".
Mama made the cake for his upcoming party & cupcakes for his friends at school. It's VERY far from perfect, but Alex thought it was "awesome" so that's what mattered.
After breakfast we all got ready & headed to work/school. Alex was so excited to celebrate his birthday at school w/cupcakes for his friends & his poster that he worked really hard on about himself. He had a great day & felt so special at school.
After school Alex & I headed to Target to spend his "cash" from Grammy & Papa & Grandma & Grandpa. We spent about an hour walking the isles looking at everything in the store, but when he found this dragon that came with a ninja who even had armor he knew he'd found what he wanted. The pictures aren't great because he was so excited I couldn't get him to take his eyes off it for a picture.

He has not let it out of his sight since. He's even taken it to bed with him, which he later informed me "it wasn't very soft". He loved being able to pick something out himself.
