Pioneer Day in Snowflake

It's that time of year again...time for the annual trip to Snowflake for Pioneer Day. Here are the pictures from this year's trip. First the parade.
Ready & waiting
Alex has this obsession with the American Flag. As soon as we got to Klint's parents Alex spotted this little American flag and immediately got excited about it telling everyone "I'm taking my American Flag to the parade" Here he is with his "American Flag"
Cousins Sheridan & Michael Webb joined us for the parade.

Here's Grandpa driving his 50 year class reunion float.

Klint's brother Richard's 30 year class reunion float. He's the one standing up.
Larson Waste float. This is Klint's Uncle RH driving the tractor pulling trash cans filled with his grandchildren & they've turned a couple of trash cans into what we call "garbage-mobiles" (trash cans they have motorized). They're a hit every year.
After the parade we headed over to the car show. It was fun to see all the cars. Here is Jameson with his favorite. He thought it was "Francesco" from the new Cars 2 movie.
This is a 1953 Chevy Bel Air. When we saw it the boys said it looked like some one brought Papa's car (1952 Chevy Deluxe painted the same colors) so we had to take a picture with it.
Later in the afternoon Richard brought Sheridan & Michael over so we decided to ride Chance. (I took so many pics that the horse riding will get it's own post)
Here are my 2 little "cowboys" with the boots that Grandpa bought them.

While everyone was taking turns riding Chance Sheridan showed us her Planking skills.
Michael joined in the planking fun too.
The ultimate Plank......on a horse
The boys helping Grandpa take the float apart.
Even bedtime was fun for the boys because they got to sleep in the Tee Pee.

My cute Jameson with a little of "Chance's favorite snack"
Sat night we went to watch cousin Tyson play softball & hang out with Jason, Stacey, & Jacey & watch fireworks
We loved being able to spend time outside. Here are the boys with their tumbleweeds.
Here's Grandpa showing off his high school sweater before he headed off to his 50 year reunion.

It was a great trip as usual.

That would be cool to have a pioneer day celebration. There isn't much recognition of it at all here in Texas. Looks like you guys had a blast.
