We always love the 4th of July. For some reason Alex has always gotten especially excited about what he calls "America's Birthday". (I can't help but think that maybe it has something to do with the fact that one of the wonderful Keiths he was named after was a military man who gave his life in service of our country). He yells every time he sees an American Flag so he gets really excited that during the 4th of July they are everywhere. We had a fun family day. We started out by taking the boys to see Cars 2 in the morning, then made a quick stop to buy an American Flag to put up in front of our house. After putting it up we headed over to Basha Pool/Mesquite Aquatics Center to play for a while. Then after naps we had some BBQ followed by sparklers & watching a little fireworks both on tv and from the car as we drove around in the dust storm. It was such a great day & we are so grateful America was born & that we get to live here. The only pics I took were of the boys doing their first sparklers. They loved them.
Watching fireworks on tv where it's NOT hot.
