Today was my Alex boy's 3rd birthday. I can hardly believe my baby is 3. He's turned into such a big boy. Daddy took the day off and we made it a special day. When he first woke up we let him open a couple of little presents. 
He was so excited to have some "cooking" & "food" and has been "cooking" all kinds of things for us all day.
Then we got to talk to Grammy & Papa in Africa which was especially fun. He did lots of "cooking" for them as well and fed them through the computer. After that we got ready and headed out to Jumpstreet to play. Alex LOVES Jumpstreet. He was jumping before we even got in the door. Here are some Jumpstreet pics.
He was so happy to have Daddy there with us.
Then is was home for a much needed nap after all that jumping. After naps we headed out to Target so Alex could pick a toy to buy with his "money" Grammy & Papa gave him. He was so excited to have his own money in his pocket and looked through isle after isle of toys before picking a Batman car. He hasn't put it down since.
After Target he said he wanted to go to dinner at Applebee's so we did. We told them it was his birthday so they sang to him & brought him an ice cream sundae. He LOVED it.
Since Jameson's birthday party Alex had been asking for a birthday party. We decided rather than do a big party we'd invite a couple of people over. When I asked him who he wanted he said cousins Isaac & Trevor, so we invited them over for cake. We opened a few more presents, let the boys play for a few minutes and then had cake. It was so fun and he felt like he got a real birthday party. Here are the "party" pics.

He wanted a "wockstaw" cake. This was the best I could come up with.
I found a rock star tablecloth so it felt like a real party. Luckily it matched perfectly.

Could his smile be any cuter?! We just have to find a way to stop them from growing up so fast. :)
