"Best Birthday EVER"

The first thing Jameson got to do to celebrate his birthday was make his "All about me" poster & celebrate at preschool before it let out for Christmas break. Here he is so proud of his poster. Here he is with his presents from the teacher on his special day. Yesterday was Jameson's 5th birthday. I cannot believe my sweet Jameson boy is already 5. To me, this has felt like such a milestone birthday. We decided he was old enough this year to decide everything we did for his birthday. We had a lot going this week so we decided to start his birthday off with dinner out the night before his birthday. We decided to take him to Famous Dave's because they do a sparkler in dessert & we thought he would like that. We had a little fun while waiting for our food. Jameson took all of the silverware at the table and turned into "wolverine". Love this kid's imagination.
Alex was acting crazy and having lots of fun with the sugar packets. He would put them on his head and then yell "ahhhhh" in his growlly little voice. He was cracking us all up.

They brought out dessert with the sparkler & Jameson LOVED it! We sang to him and (although the pics never caught the smile) he was so happy. Afterward he said "it's a firework like a bomb!"

The next morning (his actual birthday) we woke him up a little early so we could give him a present before Daddy left for work. We brought him downstairs to see his very own "big boy bike" complete with Batman helmet. He was so happy and I think he really felt like a big boy. We got to talk to Grammy and Papa on the computer which made Jameson so happy. He was so excited to tell him all about the birthday things he'd already been able to do. Next we headed out to the next thing Jameson wanted to do which was to meet cousins Isaac & Trevor at Jumpstreet. They gave him a new superhero hat which made it even better. It's always hard to get good pictures at Jumpstreet because the kids never stop moving so they all turn out blurry, and it's hard to even get a picture cause they're running around so much. Here are the pics I got at Jumpstreet.

They love to "wipeout",

and run,

and wrestle

and slide

After Jumpstreet we went to Target so Jameson could spend the $10 he got from Grammy & Papa. He had a great time looking everything over and picking the perfect thing. He ended up picking a new Megatron Transformer.

We had to run a couple of errands that day and while we were out we happened upon "the perfect cupcakes" for Jameson. He was so excited when he saw these he actually called them "the perfect cupcakes", and he had to have them, which was great cause I was quickly running out of time to make a cake.

Jameson asked for pizza for dinner and after pizza it was time for the rest of the party. Here are the pictures.

Opening presents I love you Jameson boy. I can't believe you're getting so big. I'm so glad you came to be in our family. Happy birthday.
