Pioneer Day celebration in Snowflake

I know I've been posting a ton lately, but we cram all we can into the 2 day weekend Klint gets off at the end of each rotation. This weekend Snowflake had their big Pioneer Day celebration. For those who don't already know and attend every year it is a BIG deal. They do high school reunions, family reunions, a craft fair, a parade, a rodeo, and fireworks! It's actually bigger than the 4th of July festivities. There's always so much going on it's a crazy trip and we can't fit everything we want into the weekend, especially this time. We drove up late Fri night and that began our adventure as just outside of Payson Jameson began throwing up and did so all the way to Snowflake and until about midnight. Can you say NOT FUN! On Sat. he seemed to be ok so we thought we'd give the parade a shot and see how he did. He wasn't his usual crazy self (we're still trying to decide if that was a good or bad thing) but he seemed to enjoy things. He eventually caught on that everyone was catching the candy that was being thrown from the floats, but after a while of being outrun and run over by bigger kids he decided he'd just go sorting through the piles his cousins had collected. Smart kid.

Jameson's favorite of Daddy's friends, Brett, came to join us for the parade and most of the day. Who needs kids of their own when ours won't leave you alone for 2 seconds.

It was all a little much for Alex.

After much running around to meet with friends and stop by the craft fair to see Carly's booth (very cute necklaces) we got to finally spend a little time with the cousins relaxing and running on G &G Webb's lawn, and a favorite this year of playing in the back of Grandpa Webb's dump trailer. Jameson loves to play with his cousins and will be so sad to see Vanessa's fam move away this week. (Good luck in NY).

We didn't go to the rodeo, but we did go watch fireworks with another of Kint's sisters Joele and her fam. Grandma stayed home with all the sleeping babies so we could take the older kids. Jameson loved the fireworks and kept doing sound effects to each one. I think he really liked that they made noise. (We've never been close enough to hear them before) It was so fun. I'm leaving out a lot of details, but it was a very busy, fun trip. It was nice to get some of us together before Vanessa and her fam move away.
