Mr. Mischief

Jameson has hit a very busy age. He's certainly learning all kinds of new things. One of which is how to get into things he shouldn't when I step out of the room for one second. Sometimes it's just so funny I can't help but laugh and take pictures. What a great disciplinarian I am. Here are a couple of examples.

The other day I was feeding Alex and suddenly I heard Jameson call from the kitchen, "Look! A Tower!" I had just bought a bunch of diapers and left them in the kitchen, so I hurried in to see what he was up to and I found he'd begun building wonderful "towers" with all the diapers. He was so proud of himself I couldn't bring myself to make him stop, so we played "tower" all day on the kitchen floor.

Last night, as I went to change Alex, Jameson said something about graham crackers. I said just a minute and he surprisingly walked away instead of throwing a tantrum. Odd. When I finished with Alex and came back in the room I found him eating about half a package of graham crackers...at one time! It's one of those times it was so silly I couldn't even be mad. I had to laugh.

I also must admit he is learning the things he's supposed to do also. We decided to give potty training a shot. I honestly thought it would last a day and we'd have to try again in a few months, but it's only been about 2 weeks now and he's almost got it. I'm proud (for both of us) to report we've had no accidents for 3 days!!! Yeah! I guess I must not be doing EVERYTHING wrong. My kid might just make it in this world after all, (despite my not knowing what the heck I'm doing.) I'm so lucky to have such good, cute little kiddos.

I can totally identify with taking pictures of the funny stuff instead of getting mad. It's just funny to see what they do when left alone for a few minutes. Yesterday while I was in the shower, Britt was watching Yo Gabba Gabba, and when I came out he had decided to take his pants and undies off and was just sitting casually (bare-booty) on the couch. But what do can you do but laugh?? :)
Jameson's graham cracker binge is hilarious! Britt saw the pictures and got some ideas... :) and yippee about the potty training! I can't believe how fast these kids are growing up! It seems like yesterday we were both preggo and about to barf while watching the 4th of July fireworks... wait, that did happen to ME yesterday! :)
p.s. sorry I wrote a novel...I guess I should have just emailed you. :)

Great job Jameson on the potty training!!! That has to be one of the least favorite things I have ever done. I can't blame you on not getting too mad cuz he is just so darn cute:)

It's funny how kids are entertained by the oddest things:)

So Cute.
Finn is never going to be potty trained. I keep saying I will do it when we are just a touch less busy and that day has yet to arrive. Maybe he will marry an understanding woman who will finally teach him... lol

Those are totally cute stories. And I think it takes a really fun mom to let her kid play towers with diapers instead of getting mad. I keep learning more and more each day that life is more fun when you make a mess.... who cares if you have to clean it up later? :)

So this is the tower you were talking about. I thought you meant you had posted this a long time ago. I have been too busy making curtains since last weekend to check blogs, but I finally got them completely done. YEAH!!

Oh Yeah, I am very impressed that you have already potty trained him and that he has taken to it so well. We aren't even thinking about it yet with Matthew. After 3-4 months of the baby being here then we might start contemplating it. I hope Matthew does as well as Jameson.

I totally agree. It's so much easier to laugh than to get upset. I guess that's why my house is a giant mess though, cause I don't get upset OR clean. I just spend all day laughing! (:
Your kids are so so cute!
