Memorial Weekend

We got to spend Memorial weekend with cousins Jared & Joanna Brimhall & Tyler & Jenn Webb at Joanna's family's ranch near Kanab, UT. It was so beautiful, with perfect weather & even better company. It was so much fun. Thanks for inviting us Brimhalls. I took so many pictures I'm going to have to split it up into a bunch of posts.
Here's the ranch. We stayed in the cabin on the right. It fit us perfectly. The ponds were so much fun. The boys loved looking for fish, throwing rocks in the water, & riding around the pond in the boats. (More on that later.)

View from the pond. I loved the red rock canyon & how green everything was.
This is the view from the meadow behind the cabin.

Here are my boys on the paddle boats.
Everyone enjoyed lots of time on the swings.

Jameson thought Jared pushed him on the swing better than anyone else.
Here are Alex & Daddy out on the boat.
Jameson LOVED swinging. Look at that cute smile. He couldn't be happier.

We bought the boys headlamps so we could keep track of them at night. The LOVED them! They ended up wearing them day & night & pretended they were everything from flashlights, to cameras, to necklaces, to ipods. Gotta love their imagination.
It was COLD at night! Here are Alex and Daddy snuggling by the fire one night.
This is Jameson examining dirt with his headlamp.
Alex found a flower. He picked it & brought it to me and said "Here Mama. I have a flower for you". Do my boys know how to melt me or what.
Here is Alex "taking a picture of fishies" with his "camera" or headlamp
There was lots of playing with sticks and using them as swords & guns.
And or course Alex had to turn them into guitars & be a "rock star".
On the way home we had to stop at the traditional Jameson family stop on the way to & from Utah. I grew up going to visit my Grandma Jameson and the rest of the extended Jameson family every year during the summer. We always stopped at the Glen Canyon Dam to (usually go potty) and walk through the visitor's center. I don't know why, but I loved it every time. It was the first time Klint & the boys had been there. It's changed a lot since I was a kid. There's lots more to it. It was a fun little stop.
