New Orleans

Klint and I went to New Orleans for 5 days so Klint could attend a CME conference. It was fun to just get away & explore somewhere we've never been before. We stayed in the French Quarter & had a great time wandering around, seeing the sights, and eating lots of great things.
This was our favorite street. It's just an alleyway next to the cathedral called Pirate's alley but it was so cute.
This sign was in Pirate Alley. We just thought it was funny.

I fell in love with the architecture and the green, which was good because I ended up spending a lot of time wandering around enjoying it.
Here are some of the sights

The boardwalk on the river was a nice place to walk. I loved being able to spend lots of time walking around especially because it was rainy and overcast too. My favorite kind of weather.

We rode the streetcar all over. It was a fun way to see everything.

Klint can always find some random thing to take a picture of.
He was pretty obsessed with these gator heads. They were everywhere and he really did want one but I had to put my foot down & he had to make due with a picture.

This was my all time favorite place to hang out. It's called Music Legends Park. It had great live music all day & night & yummy beignets which I couldn't get enough of.

We also got to each so much good food that I even took pictures of some of it. Here are my favorite beignet fries with chocolate sauce.
We ate gumbo, jambalaya, red beans and rice and all the classic southern food which was amazing. Klint even ate gator sausage which he loved.
