It's hard to believe but our little Ryan turned 1 on April 10th.
He is such a sweet happy little boy. He's full of energy, LOVES any kind of ball & will just throw it & go get it and throw it again. He also loves books & anything that makes noise. He is such a joy to have in our family and we're so grateful to have him as a part of it.
We did the traditional 1st birthday cake & had Aunt Sarah, Bentley, & Sophie there. The kids were really excited to see Ryan dig into the cake.
I made a cookie monster cake that actually came out pretty cute.
I made cupcake monsters for the kids.
Ryan liked the cake, but was a little unsure of what to do.
As it turns out he was not too happy about the blue stuff all over him.
He kept trying to brush it off which only made it worse.
Daddy even tried feeding it to him, but he wasn't having it.
The kids loved every second & even Alex tried feeding him some cake, but he still wouldn't eat it.
He sure looked cute all covered in blue though.
Pretty soon he was done.
It was time for a bath, which he wasn't too thrilled about.
It sure was fun to watch & I think he did end up having a good time.
He also got to open his present, his very own pillow pet. I'm not sure if Ryan or his brothers were more excited.
Happy birthday sweet Ryan! We're sure glad you were born.

You did a great job on the cake and I love that you did separate little ones for everyone else.
Allison was the same way. She hated getting it all over her and I made her. There were tears also.
It is hard to believe that he has been here a year already.
They grow so fast. Looking through your pictures, I can't believe how big your older boys look too! 1st birthdays are special. :)
