Thanksgiving

We had Thanksgiving at our house this year. We needed to stay low key this year. For us it was a fairly small crowd. We had my sis Jennifer her husband & his 2 cute daughters & my cousin Kevin. We had WAY too much food, but I think that's kind of a requirement for Thanksgiving, right? It was fun and we were glad to have them. I didn't take a lot of pics, but here are a few. I only took one "food" pic.
I actually took this pic for the pickles. Not because we love pickles cause no one in my family actually eats them, but because I got to use my Grandma's "pickle dish". It's actually a leaf shaped dish that my Grandma always used to hold pickles for Sunday dinners. I was so happy to finally be able to use it. That's why it's the only "food" pic I took.

After stuffing ourselves we lounged around. The boys, Klint, Marvin, & Kevin played some intense Foosball while the girls watched Elf & browsed the Black Friday ads & the kids played. Here are a few pic. Jameson made Kevin a "blanket" out of the ads after he'd worn himself out playing with the big boys. Kevin slept right through it.
The kids built a "castle" then made it "snow" with the ads. They thought it was hilarious & had a great time.
Kevin turned my boys into a "brother burrito" which they also thought was hilarious. They love Kevin.
It was a great day. Thanks for joining us.

This isn't a Thanksgiving day pic, but here's Jameson in his "Native American" outfit they made at school for his Kindergarten Feast. He's pretty proud of it & continues to wear it even though his feast was 3 days ago. He looks darn cute.
This is just a cute picture of Alex with his "Ninja City" he built this week. He also had a feast at school when he hasn't stopped talking about, but I don't have a pic. I've loved seeing my boys so excited about & loving Thanksgiving & being Thankful.

Thanks for blogging Thanksgiving. It made me feel like I'd been there. I was so excited to see you use Grandma Bird's pickle dish. When I was putting dinner on the table here in the Congo, I was looking all over for something to put pickles in. I thought about that very dish. Glad that you have it and used it.

Love the NA costume. did you make it? You're getting just way to "crafty" if you did. Good on ya!
