What did you do today?

I planned on our normal routine today, but when I went to pick up Jameson from preschool he was sick so that changed the plan to staying home all day. Because Jameson wasn't feeling well the boys took a nice long nap & then just laid around which gave me time to get some projects finished up. I've had the pieces to do these projects for a while, so I was happy to actually have a chance to do them. I wish I had remembered to take before pics, but I didn't so I'll just have to tell you what they looked like before. Here they are.

This bench is for my bathroom. It was once a black coffee table I picked up at Goodwill for $12. I found the fabric for the pad & the small pillow in the remnants section for about $3 months ago. I got the foam for the pad, & the small pillow form 40% off @ Hobby Lobby for about $8. The brown pillows I got @ Ross for $9. Overall not too bad & I love how it turned out.

I've actually been working on this set for a while but I did the desk & chair today as well as the pillows & the "W". I picked up this set of furniture on craigslist for $130. After lots of hours, & days, & LOTS of coats of spray painting (I'm too lazy to brush paint), I finally got it all finished today. I also recovered the pad of the chair, stenciled it, & made covers for the 2 pillows (only shows 1, but they're the same). I'm really loving how it turned out & Klint is finally understanding why I insisted that I needed this furniture. He now loves it too. I did this all pretty cheap too. Spray paint - $3 a can (7 cans), one gallon of orange "goof up" paint from Home Depot - $7, more remnant fabric - $2, two plain pillows from Target - $5, fabric for pillows (30% off @ Hobby Lobby) - $5, "W" wall hanging (50% off @Hobby Lobby) - $1.50 Now I just have to get the rest of my salon room done so I can display it right.

I'm also happy to report that Jameson is feeling a little better. Here's a picture of he & Alex being silly & enjoying that their suckers had made their mouths blue. The joys of being a kid.

I'm totally in love with your white furniture. I painted Lily's with a brush and wish I would have spray painted it instead. We need to get together soon, I totally want to see your house!
