Alex turns 2

Today my little Alex turned 2. It's hard to tell, but I think we had a pretty good day. We started by singing Happy Birthday and letting him open a present. It was a "monter twuck" or monster truck from Aunt Cassie. (Thanks! He loves it!) Here he is showing off his new "monter twuck"Then (the stuff I didn't take pics of) cousins Isaac & Trevor came over to play for a couple of hours. While they were here we got to talk to Grammy & Papa in Africa. When Stacy came to pick up the boys we decided to go to Chick-fil-a for a birthday lunch. After all that it was home for a good birthday nap.

After Daddy came home we had a birthday dinner of Mac & Cheese at the boys' request, and then we had a little "bir-day cake".

We sang Happy Birthday and then he attempted to blow out the candle. It was a good effort, but not a successful one so brother blew it out for him.

This is the look he got every time some one started singing Happy Birthday to him. He got so excited every time, so of course we did it a lot today because it was so darn cute.

After cake we gave Alex another birthday present. I was very excited about giving him this one because I knew he'd love it, and he did. It was a set of musical instruments with the most important one...a drum. He was so excited and hasn't stopped pounding/drumming away since. Here are some pics of him enjoying it. Jameson enjoyed the instruments too. Here is the Webb Boys Band. (Daddy on "shakers" and tamborine, Jameson on harmonica, and Alex on "dums" My little Alex boy is getting so big. Some people say they wish their kids would stay little, but, while I do hope they always get as excited when I get home as they do now, I love to watch them grow and learn new things. It's so cute. Alex LOVES singing, but he's become very bashful lately and is not much of a performer so you have to catch him when he doesn't know you're listening/watching. He especially loves to sing while we're in the car or when he's going to sleep. His favorite songs are "Old McDonald" (complete with animal sounds), "Twinkle, Twinkle", and "Rock-a-bye" or "Bock a bye". He also talks like crazy! He loves to "nuggle" or snuggle, and has become very bashful. We just love this sweet boy and are so glad we've had him for these past 2 years and are so happy we're going to have him for eternity.
