My parents, aka Grammy & Papa, returned from their (most recent) 2 year mission as Mission President of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kinshasa Mission on July 8th and we could hardly wait. We spent the day making posters and t-shirts for all of the grandkids to wear to the airport to keep us busy because they didn't arrive until 8:15pm. We all got to the airport with plenty of time just to be sure we were there and ready when they arrived. Because we had some time we spent it taking pictures of the cutest bunch of grandkids anxiously waiting & trying not to destroy the airport in the process.
Our family with the signs we made
Besides the awesome ones my kids made Ethan & Tyler made my next favorite signs.
Ready & waiting
Finally the time came & they were here!!!!
We could see them but couldn't hug them til they passed that line. Not sure if that was harder on them or the kids.
Let the mobbing begin. The grandkids couldn't wait.
Time for Ryan to meet Papa for the first time.
Then Ryan & Grammy got to meet. He went right to her & snuggled up.
Grammy & Papa with the Grandkids
Grammy & Papa with the 2 babies who were born while they were gone, Ryan (15mo) & Carter (11mo)
This boy is beyond happy to have his Papa home. He's been telling everyone "Papa's gonna tickle me" for weeks anytime we mention them.
Jameson & Grammy
After picking them up we headed over to their house to hang out & visit. It was nice to just all sit and be together. I loved how as we visited my boys weaseled their way in to just sit and snuggle with Grammy & Papa
It was a great reunion & we are enjoying having them here where they don't miss a thing.
