SANTA!!!!

The boys are so into Santa this year. They've been talking about what he's going to bring them since Thanksgiving. The problem was every time you asked them what Santa was going to bring them they came up with a different answer. This was becoming quite problematic for Santa so after putting my dilemma on Facebook and asking for help some one suggested that Santa needs time for the Elves to make something so we should write letters & then it's done. I thought that was a very reasonable idea so last Sun the boys sat down and drew a picture for Santa of what they wanted. They turned out so great. Jameson drew a picture of the "Bat Cave" (for Batman) complete with Batman & friends. He even wrote Dear Santa on the top "Der Santu" and signed his name on the bottom.
Alex drew a picture of "ninja legos" complete with swords. He too signed his name at the bottom the very best he could. It was so cute.
Then this Fri was our ward party where we had a "special visitor". The boys were SO excited to be able to sit on Santa's lap & tell him what they wanted. On the way there they chatted all about how they were going to be brave & how Santa wasn't scary, and Alex especially wanted to hear him say "Ho, Ho, Ho", and was sure Santa had a candy cane for him. They couldn't contain their excitement while waiting in line. They spent the whole time jumping up and down. Here they are just before it was finally their turn.
Jameson was first. He wasn't a bit nervous. He went right up and told Santa what he wanted, "The Bat Cave". Then he was very excited to hear that he was currently on the Nice list & if he was "a helper to his Mom" he was sure to stay on it.
When Jameson was finished, despite being a little anxious, Alex charged right up and climbed onto Santa's lap. He was a little shy, but he tried so hard to be brave & talk to Santa. It was so funny to watch his expression change between giddy excitement & nervousness. He told Santa what he wanted "a Samurai" (which was new, but I think Santa can work with it since he is newly obsessed with Power Ranger Samurai). Then he was so excited to hear Santa say "Ho, Ho, Ho" as he gave him a candy cane.
They were so excited & happy afterward. Here are two happy little boys eating their candy canes.
Now lets just hope Santa comes through on Christmas & doesn't disappoint.

Such a good idea to draw pictures for Santa! Did they like the puppet show?
